Mongo (from "humongous") is a high-performance, open source, schema-free document-oriented database. MongoDB is written in C++ and offers the following features: * Collection oriented storage: easy storage of object/JSON-style data * Dynamic queries * Full index support, including on inner objects and embedded arrays * Query profiling * Replication and fail-over support * Efficient storage of binary data including large objects (e.g. photos and videos) * Auto-sharding for cloud-level scalability (currently in early alpha) * Commercial Support Available A key goal of MongoDB is to bridge the gap between key/value stores (which are fast and highly scalable) and traditional RDBMS systems (which are deep in functionality).
This package provides the mongo server software, mongo sharding server software, default configuration files, and init scripts.
A JS/C++ Bson parser for node, used in the MongoDB Native driver.
An open source asynchronous task queue/job queue based on distributed message passing. It is focused on real-time operation, but supports scheduling as well. The execution units, called tasks, are executed concurrently on one or more worker nodes using multiprocessing, Eventlet or gevent. Tasks can execute asynchronously (in the background) or synchronously (wait until ready). Celery is used in production systems to process millions of tasks a day. Celery is written in Python, but the protocol can be implemented in any language. It can also operate with other languages using web hooks. The recommended message broker is RabbitMQ, but limited support for Redis, Beanstalk, MongoDB, CouchDB and databases (using SQLAlchemy or the Django ORM) is also available.
MongoEngine is a Document-Object Mapper (think ORM, but for document databases) for working with MongoDB from Python. It uses a simple declarative API, similar to the Django ORM.
The Python driver for MongoDB. This package contains the python2 version of this module.
GridFS is a storage specification for large objects in MongoDB.
Robomongo — is a shell-centric cross-platform open source MongoDB management tool (i.e. Admin GUI). Robomongo embeds the same JavaScript engine that powers MongoDB's mongo shell. Everything you can write in mongo shell — you can write in Robomongo! This is an early beta version of Robomongo, that we are publishing in a hope to validate usefulness of application. We really welcome your feedback! Please submit any issues and proposals to GitHub Issues.
The rsyslog-mongodb package contains a dynamic shared object that will add MongoDB database support to rsyslog.
