Plone 3 Arrives!

We've decided that Plone 3 is now production quality

After closely monitoring the Plone project, we've decided that Plone 3 is now stable enough to support in enterprise environments.

We've upgraded all of our internal Zope and Plone products against Plone 3.x and where we could, we've also upgraded a wide range of the popular third-party applications that are compatible with the new release.

While this represents the last monolithic tarball release coming from the Plone Foundation, their future egg-based releases will be one-to-one mapped to our RPM packages - but our seminal plone package will transparently manage and collate all of the Known Good Set eggs through normal package dependency management.

Yet another reason that BastionLinux is good business sense.

64 Bit BastionLinux is here!

BastionLinux 6 now includes x86_64 support along with i386 packages.

The latest release of BastionLinux is now here. This release is the first release which also supports 64 bit computing.

This release also features Zope 2.9 and Plone 2.5 and is firmly anchored around Python 2.4.

Please visit here for a full list of packages and versions in this release.

In addition, we are no longer supporting CD installers as our basic package library now exceeds that 800K capacity limit.

To facilitate upgrading, you can now order installer disks directly from your login account.

Enjoy!
