Reset Zenoss Zentinel Admin password
Amazon Web Services require Marketplace images to have application-level passwords set dynamically to the the running instance id. This suite ensures that upon firstboot that policy is applied. Outside of AWS, this tool can be used to reset an applications admin password. This utility uses cloud-init such that it can platform-agnostically dynamically set passwords. Currently supported applications are OpsCode/Chef, Pulp, Zenoss, and Zope/Plone.

This project provides a Net-SNMP pass_persist script for monitoring Zenoss. If you aren't familiar with Net-SNMP's pass_persist option, it allows an external script to provide responses for all GET and GETNEXT requires under a configured base OID. Currently zenoss-snmp-module provides support for the provided ZENOSS-PROCESS- MIB. This makes it difficult to troubleshoot problems. To test the script outside of snmpd, you can run zenoss-snmp-module as root. If things are working properly, this will appear to do nothing. Maven is a complete crock of shite and we are still figuring out how to build some critical dependency versions that may not be at the same point release as distro mainline. We are simply deploying the expected versions here.
This is a wrapper around the Zenoss JSON and REST APIs. For the most things it should feel very familiar to zendmd, but there are some changes do to the merging of the JSON and REST APIs. Please read the API docs for Zenoss and the YARDDoc for this gem (rdoc.info).
At Zenoss we are working on a project to improve the reliability, performance and features of native Windows monitoring. The core of this project is this Python library for asynchronously managing Windows using the WinRM and WinRS services. This library will then be used by Zenoss to do automatic discovery and monitoring the way Zenoss users are used to with some new possibilities. Right now we're trying to get as much real world experience using the library as possible to prove out the reliability and performance improvements we're hoping to achieve. If you have access to Windows servers, you can help! It doesn't even require a Zenoss Core installation as this tool stands alone right now. To use kerberos connections, you will need to download and build the python kerberos module from https://github.com/zenoss/pykerberos.
