cracklib-dicts-2.9.6-28.fc36.x86_64: The cracklib-dicts package includes the CrackLib dictionaries. CrackLib will need to use the dictionary appropriate to your system, which is normally put in /usr/share/dict/words. Cracklib-dicts also contains the utilities necessary for the creation of new dictionaries. If you are installing CrackLib, you should also install cracklib-dicts.

cracklib-2.9.6-28.fc36.x86_64: CrackLib tests passwords to determine whether they match certain security-oriented characteristics, with the purpose of stopping users from choosing passwords that are easy to guess. CrackLib performs several tests on passwords: it tries to generate words from a username and gecos entry and checks those words against the password; it checks for simplistic patterns in passwords; and it checks for the password in a dictionary. CrackLib is actually a library containing a particular C function which is used to check the password, as well as other C functions. CrackLib is not a replacement for a passwd program; it must be used in conjunction with an existing passwd program. Install the cracklib package if you need a program to check users' passwords to see if they are at least minimally secure. If you install CrackLib, you will also want to install the cracklib-dicts package.

cpp-13.2.1-3.lbn36.x86_64: Cpp is the GNU C-Compatible Compiler Preprocessor. Cpp is a macro processor which is used automatically by the C compiler to transform your program before actual compilation. It is called a macro processor because it allows you to define macros, abbreviations for longer constructs. The C preprocessor provides four separate functionalities: the inclusion of header files (files of declarations that can be substituted into your program); macro expansion (you can define macros, and the C preprocessor will replace the macros with their definitions throughout the program); conditional compilation (using special preprocessing directives, you can include or exclude parts of the program according to various conditions); and line control (if you use a program to combine or rearrange source files into an intermediate file which is then compiled, you can use line control to inform the compiler about where each source line originated). You should install this package if you are a C programmer and you use macros.

cpio-2.13-12.fc36.x86_64: GNU cpio copies files into or out of a cpio or tar archive. Archives are files which contain a collection of other files plus information about them, such as their file name, owner, timestamps, and access permissions. The archive can be another file on the disk, a magnetic tape, or a pipe. GNU cpio supports the following archive formats: binary, old ASCII, new ASCII, crc, HPUX binary, HPUX old ASCII, old tar and POSIX.1 tar. By default, cpio creates binary format archives, so that they are compatible with older cpio programs. When it is extracting files from archives, cpio automatically recognizes which kind of archive it is reading and can read archives created on machines with a different byte-order. Install cpio if you need a program to manage file archives.

cowpatty-4.6-24.fc36.x86_64: Cowpatty is designed to audit the pre-shared key (PSK) selection for WPA networks based on the TKIP protocol. It can perform both dictionary and computed rainbow table attacks.

courier-webmail-1.4.0-1.lbn36.x86_64: This package adds webmail access to the Courier mail server. Webmail access is provided via a CGI module that is installed in the apache's cgi-bin directory. You must have apache installed.

courier-webadmin-1.4.0-1.lbn36.x86_64: This package install the web-based administration tool for the Courier mail server. The webadmin tool allows the most common administrative tasks to be done from any web browser. After installing this tool, initialize /etc/courier/webadmin/password to contain the administrative password. The default configuration permits non-SSL access only from the same server, and all external logins must use SSL. See the installation notes for information on enabling external non-SSL access.
