There is a --follow switch that makes dvipng wait at end-of-file for further output, unless it finds the POST marker that indicates the end of the DVI; - Interactive query of options. dvipng can read options interactively through stdin, and all options are usable. Quotation marks are switched automatically if quotations are nested and they can be adjusted to the current language if the babel package is available. There are additional facilities designed to cope with the more specific demands of academic writing, especially in the humanities and the social sciences. The attachfile package brings this functionality to pdfLaTeX and provides some additional features not available in Acrobat, such as the ability to use arbitrary LaTeX code for the file icon -- including things like \includegraphics, tabular, and mathematics. Settings can be made either globally or on a per- attachment basis. Attachfile makes it easy to attach files and customize their appearance in the enclosing document.
