SYNOPSYS

BastionLinux™ is our RPM-Linux clone (baselined on Fedora Core 13) with full RPM support for Zenoss 3.2.0.

AMI Identifiers

US-West-1 ami-bdf5a8f8

DESCRIPTION

This AMI in addition to having an ec2-user, allows you to directly ssh to your instance with root, whose password is pa55word (you should change this ASAP).

Zope/ZEO/Zenoss is set up as a standard System V service, with $INSTANCE_HOME /var/lib/zope.  The Zope/Zenoss management user is admin, also with a password of pa55word.

There are also both up2date and yum, which gives you access to an amazing range of other popular Zope and Plone products and modules via your subscription to our http://linux.last-bastion.net/LBN/up2date/monitor/13 channel.

The initial file system size is 10Gb.  This is an x86_64 AMI, and you'll need a couple of GB RAM - we recommend at least a m1.large instance.  When creating your instance, you should set up a security policy opening port 443.  Then simply point  your browser at https://<your EC2 public DNS>/zport/dmd.

Note that this is a completely empty Zentinel and one of the first things you should do is to discover the localhost.
